Green Facades

Green Facades is a modular parametric system for vegetated building fronts, using two interdependent elements to create dynamic, plantable patterns. It demonstrates how underused urban surfaces can be sustainably transformed to enhance biodiversity and improve the microclimate. A central innovation of the project is its material: a 3D-printed ceramic mixture combining raw clay and recycled brick powder. Achieving a 33% recycled content without compromising quality, it highlights how modern manufacturing can integrate sustainable practices.
