The Open Seat

The Open Seat Project imagines a future in which social isolation has replaced real-life encounters. To reconnect people, abandoned restaurants are reopened and strangers are seated together. Through a specially designed porcelain plate set, guests are encouraged to share food and interact. Subtle differences in the plate patterns create a final playful exchange, transforming initial distance into genuine human connection.
